- Community
Want to help shape an open, innovative and fair digital society? Opendata.ch is looking for a Managing Director to lead the association’s operations, bring fresh impetus and, together with the team, the board and the community, shape the future of open data, open source and open knowledge in Switzerland.
As Managing Director, you lead the day-to-day work of Opendata.ch and develop it further together with the team, the board and the community. You take on responsibility, roll up your sleeves and have plenty of room to shape things. This includes:
- running the office and implementing the strategic priorities together with the team
- developing ongoing projects and launching new ones
- broadening the association’s funding base and building new partnerships
- representing Opendata.ch to public administration, politics, academia and civil society
- nurturing the community and strengthening the network for open data and digital commons
Who we are looking for
You care about open data, open source, open knowledge and digital policy – and you want to make a difference. You bring people from different backgrounds together, spot opportunities and turn ideas into reality pragmatically. You understand how public administration and public institutions work, and you communicate confidently in German or French as well as in English.
Experience in a management role is not a must. What matters is your willingness to take on responsibility, your enjoyment of collaboration and networking, and your interest in developing Opendata.ch together with its community.
