New Co-Leadership at Opendata.ch
- Community

We are happy to share that Dr. Verena Kontschieder and Anna Sigrist are taking on the role of Co-CEOs of Opendata.ch.
Together with our Board and network, we are entering a new phase of growth and strategic focus. In the coming months, we’ll be building a strong foundation for a new chapter of Opendata.ch. We will be updating our community along the way. We’ll also be opening two new roles: an Operations & Finance Assistant (temporary / internship) and a Communications & Community Engagement Lead.
Our goal stays simple: Technology and innovation that ultimately always serves the creation of public value, and the wellbeing of people and society overall. – Not the other way around.
👥 Verena and Anna in a nutshell
Verena brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of innovation, technology, and international policy. She has led global programs on AI governance, (societal-)digital transformation, and policy innovation at institutions such as Meta, the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, or the IMF. Verena completed her PhD at the RCA London, with visiting research and co-supervision at Stanford University ME (Larry Leifer), investigating human-centric design as a pathway to creating actual public value in global AI governance, both as it applies to AI-led product innovation and respective policy formulation.
Anna has an academic background in political science and international relations, having studied these subjects at ETH Zurich, the Graduate Institute in Geneva as well as the EWHA Womans University in Seoul. She has led (open) innovation and digital transformation programs in the finance sector and as a consultant for GLAM institutions, energy companies, and the public sector. She joined Opendata.ch in August 2024 as program lead for OpenGLAM, which she will continue to lead aside from taking over as Co-CEO together with Verena.
We’re deeply grateful for the trust and support of our funders, partners, and community. We look forward to shaping this journey together with you.
