Open Farming Hackdays
- Hackathon

2–3 September 2022, 09:00 @ Landwirtschaftliches Zentrum Liebegg, Liebegg 1, 5722 Gränichen
Organised by Opendata.ch, Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG, Landwirtschaftliches Zentrum Liebegg
The third Open Farming Hackdays took place on 2 and 3 September 2022 at the Liebegg agricultural centre in Gränichen – an initiative of the Liebegg, the Hightech Zentrum Aargau and Opendata.ch, with Aargauische Kantonalbank as main sponsor. More than 50 hackers worked on seven challenges within 32 hours; some of them had emerged from a warm-up workshop in the summer.
The teams developed prototypes and first concepts: DecarbMyFarm for a fossil-free, energy self-sufficient farm, an agricultural data hub association to connect farm management software and accounting, the garden app «Herbs & Carrots», a field log for fruit growing, the RebApp for choosing the right grape variety, a veggie-box optimiser, and an Aargau farm in the farming simulator.
Eliane Stocker hosted the closing session on Saturday afternoon; Matthias Müller, head of agriculture for the canton of Aargau, addressed the participants.
