12–13 May 2023, 08:15 @ Rathaus Bern, Rathausplatz 2, 3011 Bern

Organised by Opendata.ch, Office of Information Technology and Organisation of the Canton of Bern

Under the motto «Creating Public Value – using data for the common good», the second Data Hackdays BE took place in Bern's Rathaus on 12 and 13 May 2023, organised by the Office for Information Technology and Organisation of the Canton of Bern and Opendata.ch, with the City of Bern, Bedag Informatik AG and the Bern University of Applied Sciences (Business School) as partners.

The challenges came from the canton and the city: automatically detecting unsealed surfaces for the civil engineering office, a 3D model of the city's development since 1800 from historical building plans, an analysis of the requests to the KAIO service desk, anonymising personal data, Bern's historical address books, and a way to make .docx documents fit for the State Archives.

Twelve projects are documented on Dribdat – from personalised city walks to a measure of identifiability and «Datafying Bärn». The Canton of Bern published an after-movie.
