Do you have an idea how to solve a societal problem in Switzerland with technology? Our Prototype Fund supports you with up to 100,000.-, coaching and access to our network. Join our Q&A online session and find out more about our program and the application process!

About the event: Do you have any questions about the Prototype Fund in general or the application process in particular? Are you thinking about applying but are not sure if your project is eligible?

After briefly presenting our program we will answer all of your questions and would love to hear your feedback. If you’re looking for contributors and/or want to get feedback on your idea we will give you a platform to present it.

About the Prototype Fund: We create experimental spaces for innovations that serve the public good in Switzerland. The Prototype Fund supports you in solving societal problems with open source projects.

As a developer or a team of technically skilled, engaged and creative collaborators, you will receive up to CHF 100,000 to develop your public interest tech idea from concept to the first prototype.

With this grant, you and your team can spend six months writing code and building a prototype of your open source software. In addition, we – Opendata.ch and the Mercator Foundation Switzerland – coach, consult and connect you with various communities.

The next application phase runs from 5 April to 15 May 2022. The prototyping phase begins in September 2022 and lasts until 23 February 2023.
