Dekarbonisierung, Digitalisierung und Dezentralisierung. Im Energiesektor stehen grundlegende Veränderungen an.  Das Ende der Laufzeit der Nuklearkraftwerke verlangt nach einem Neuausbau von diversen, regenerativen und dezentralen Energietechnologien, wie Geothermie, Wind- und Solartechnik. Um das Zusammenspiel von Energiebereitstellung, -nutzung und -speicherung optimal und stabil zu gestalten, werden digitalen Werkzeuge und Daten immer wichtiger.  

Unser Verein, der Energy Data Innovation Hub (EDIH), hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, nachhaltige Innovationen im Energiesektor durch die Möglichkeiten der digitalen Transformation und Datennutzung zu fördern. Wir unterstützen und fördern aktiv innovative Ideen und Konzepte. Wir unterstützen unsere Mitglieder und Partner bei der Umsetzung zukunftsweisender und nachhaltiger Projekte und Lösungen. Ein wichtiger Teil unserer Arbeit ist der Austausch und Wissenstransfer zwischen Mitgliedern und anderen Partnern. Wir streben den Aufbau eines gemeinsamen Ökosystems an, das den aktiven Austausch und die Nutzung von (offenen) Energiedaten ermöglicht.

Darüber hinaus agieren wir an der Schnittstelle zwischen Forschung und Industrie und wollen durch Kollaboration und unser Engagement einen Mehrwert für die verschiedenen Akteure im Energiesektor schaffen. Unser Ziel ist es, die Innovationskraft der Schweizer Energiewirtschaft zu stärken und zu fördern.

Der Verein wurde 2023 von den Organisatoren der Energy Data Hackdays gegründet und vereint die bisherigen Aktivitäten des Hackathons und der Energy Data Working Group. In diesem Rahmen organisieren wir jedes Jahr 3-4 kleinere Veranstaltungen und Treffen. Diese Veranstaltungen sind auf Information, Austausch, Vernetzung und die Entwicklung gemeinsamer Projekte ausgerichtet.

Our association, the Energy Data Innovation Hub (EDIH), is dedicated to promoting open and sustainable innovation in the energy sector through the opportunities provided by digital transformation and data usage. We actively support and promote innovative ideas and concepts. We assist our members and partners in implementing forward-looking and sustainable projects and solutions. A key part of our work is the exchange and transfer of knowledge among members and other partners. We strive to build a shared ecosystem that facilitates the active exchange and use of (open) energy data.

Additionally, we operate at the interface between research and industry, aiming to create added value for the various players in the energy sector through our community and commitment. Our goal is to strengthen and promote the innovative capacity of the Swiss energy sector.
